Bringing cinema to festivals and events

Whether just for an evening, a day or several weeks, our expert team can transform a space into a unique indoor or outdoor cinema. Our experience working with different types of historic venues – museums, abbeys, castles, to name a few examples – means that we can bring the magic of cinema into any space, including parks, gardens and public spaces.

Whatever the scale and scope of your event, our trusted team can turn your vision into a reality, taking the stress away so you can focus on running the show. Don’t just take our word for it. INDY is already the preferred partner of several prestigious UK festivals and event companies: Edinburgh International Film Festival, Glasgow Film Festival, Sheffield Doc/Fest, Leeds International Film Festival, Edinburgh Hogmanay Events, Assembly Events and Riverside Studios and Edinburgh Festival Theatre.

Maybe it’s because we’re passionate about cinema, but we love our work at INDY. Our team of experts have been entertaining audiences and putting a smile on people’s faces for over 15 years.
  • INDY have been an absolute pleasure to work with and their support and advice throughout the inaugural Newcastle International Film Festival was invaluable. Everything was delivered to the highest standard, and Craig and the team were so helpful and accommodating, a true first class service.

  • Glasgow Film Festival has been working with Indy for a number of years and their professional attitude and presentation skills are exceptional. They have been instrumental in helping Glasgow Film Festival to grow and become one of the biggest film festivals in the UK. Whenever we have sought their help they have been with us 100% and helped us find innovative ways to bring great films to a wider audience. In short we really couldn’t do the festival without them.

  • We have worked with INDY for the last two editions of the Hippodrome Festival of Silent Cinema – the first time with our milestone 5th anniversary and then again in March 2016.  Ian and the team are fantastic.  Our event requirements were exacting – not only did we need excellence in film presentation, live music and performance-  but the outdoor venue, on the platform of a heritage railway, had very particular constraints.  All details were attended to,  the partners and artists were delighted, and the audience had an A1 experience.  When dealing with INDY, communication is always prompt, helpful and knowledgeable and this, combined with their positive, ‘can do’ approach, and their reliability mean they are a pleasure to work with.

  • EIFF has worked with INDY on a number of projects in recent years, including outdoor projection events at Summerhall, interior projections in our ’Scot:Lands’ project, and a major event at the National Museum of Scotland in partnership with NMS and the UK Space Agency.  Indy work to a technically high standard and are consistently enthusiastic, reliable, and self-sufficient; they offer first-rate practical advice and support. Their extensive background in rigging and running cinema projection and sound across a wide range of settings – both in conventional cinema environments and in temporary or site-specific installations – gives them an excellent basis to handle ambitious screening projects. We look forward to working with INDY again in future.
