What Our Clients Say…
Glasgow Film Festival has been working with Indy for a number of years and their professional attitude and presentation skills are exceptional. They have been instrumental in helping Glasgow Film Festival to grow and become one of the biggest film festivals in the UK. Whenever we have sought their help they have been with us 100% and helped us find innovative ways to bring great films to a wider audience. In short we really couldn't do the festival without them.
EIFF has worked with INDY on a number of projects in recent years, including outdoor projection events at Summerhall, interior projections in our ’Scot:Lands’ project, and a major event at the National Museum of Scotland in partnership with NMS and the UK Space Agency. Indy work to a technically high standard and are consistently enthusiastic, reliable, and self-sufficient; they offer first-rate practical advice and support. Their extensive background in rigging and running cinema projection and sound across a wide range of settings – both in conventional cinema environments and in temporary or site-specific installations – gives them an excellent basis to handle ambitious screening projects. We look forward to working with INDY again in future.
We have worked with INDY for the last two editions of the Hippodrome Festival of Silent Cinema – the first time with our milestone 5th anniversary and then again in March 2016. Ian and the team are fantastic. Our event requirements were exacting – not only did we need excellence in film presentation, live music and performance- but the outdoor venue, on the platform of a heritage railway, had very particular constraints. All details were attended to, the partners and artists were delighted, and the audience had an A1 experience. When dealing with INDY, communication is always prompt, helpful and knowledgeable and this, combined with their positive, ‘can do’ approach, and their reliability mean they are a pleasure to work with.
INDY do more than " show" films, INDY " screen " films, they are perfectionists. The projected image will be aligned, focused, sized and fine tuned until it reaches perfection. They adjust the sound, center, left, right and rear until it is perfectly balanced. Our audience demands and expects to experience a film being delivered to their eyes and ears at a high standard. INDY delivers that standard at each and every screening.
The Cinema at Aboyne in our local community theatre shows a selection of recent films each fortnight together with screenings from the National Theatre and English National Opera - all sourced from INDY, with whom we have had a very happy relationship for many years. Indeed, we were one of the first venues they worked with back in the days of 35mm film and have never had the slightest reason to change! Ian Brown's advice has been invaluable in selecting the best of recent films and - very importantly - he has always been there in an emergency to help us avoid a crisis!
Fraserburgh Junior Arts Society and Aberdeenshire Council partnered with INDY nearly two years ago to deliver a monthly cinema experience in our town. The cinema is a big hit with audiences of all ages attending. It is great for our community and attracts people from local areas who otherwise would not get to enjoy the cinema experience. The service we receive from INDY is exceptional - they provide a great support service and the quality of the cinema experience is fantastic.
INDY have been instrumental in the provision of cinema for our community. Their friendly, well informed professional guidance and support in all matters have, and continue to be, invaluable.
January 2013 saw the re-introduction of community cinema to the town of Ellon. This opportunity was made possible by the services offered by INDY whose total film service for us has proven exemplary. This success is due to their conscientious approach and driven enthusiasm and we look forward to continuing to deliver and improving our community cinema together with INDY's team.
The Relationship with INDY has been tremendously helpful in securing the right films for our programme. It is a pleasure to pick up the phone to and know that you are speaking with an expert in running cinemas. Both in terms of booking films and making sure all the technical requirements are in place to ensure performances run smoothly, INDY provide a first class service.
For us it was really important to work with a booker who 'gets us' and is willing to listen to our needs. We have had outstanding service as we have made the transition to digital cinema and have already developed a fantastic working relationship. Cinema can be cold, impersonal and unfriendly; we work to avoid that, as does INDY.
